Humans most commonly use sucrose as their sugar of choice for altering the flavor and properties such as mouth feel, preservation, and texture of beverages and food. Sugar forms a major element in confectionery and in desserts. Sucrose, raw sugar, brown sugar, invert sugar, honey, Lactose, Turbinado Sugar etc are some of the examples of sugar.
