Bread is one of the oldest known recipes to man. Earlier breads were made by cooking grain paste, which is a paste made from cereal grains and water. Now a day's breads are made by steaming, baking or frying the dough. The basic ingredients required for making breads are made from wheat, flour, dough and yeast. The mixture of these are allowed to rise and finally baked in an oven. Some times additional things like spices, sugar, vegetables and seeds are also added to decorate it and add flavor to it. Breads are a rich source of energy, vitamins, fiber, iron and calcium. There are different types of breads which are made around the world like plain bread, sourdough bread, French bread, rye bread etc. Breads can also be produced in all shapes and sizes. Each type of bread has its own history, style, and of course taste. Breads make a nice breakfast dish; it can also be served anytime of the day accompanied with tea and coffee.
